This is another rare painting for me. I did this specifically for Bunny Fuller of Beardstown Illinois to hang in her living room. It's just abstract enough to make it as a large decorative piece. It's difficult to capture a good image of this as it's cross-hatch stroked and that does a lot to make the composition. This image simply gives you an idea of what the piece looks like. The size of it makes a definite impression.

I usually don't paint abstract scenes, but this subject seemed to call for it. This is an area where a good friend deer hunts in Canada. The apparent emptiness and coldness of the landscape is made more so by the pockmarked snow where the game once laid dead. |
